Section 508 Compliance
As a result of our vast experience working with government clients, we have honed our expertise offering services such as call center support and developing applications that meet the Section 508 standards. We are acutely aware of the requirements for achieving compliance from the start of the project through development and implementation. To ensure faster delivery, our business analysts assess requested features and align them with the 508 checklist.
About Section 508 Compliance
As stated on the US Access Board website, the Section 508 Standards “are part of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and address access for people with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities. They contain technical criteria specific to various types of technologies and performance-based requirements which focus on functional capabilities of covered products.”
Implementing Section 508 Measures
For call center support, we have created procedures for our teams so that all of our end-user communication is accessible to people with disabilities. For application development, our business analysts collaborate with the designers and developers and create a plan for how features will be developed in a manner that meets compliance standards. In the test phase, our quality assurance team has experience leveraging several software tools such as AMP and SiteImprove to ensure that our code is up to par and report on open issues back to the designers and developers for a resolution.
